Cindy Aguilar-Castaneda was one of 12 students chosen from across the United States to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, Colorado through the Bezos Scholar Program. The Ideas Festival is the nation's premier, public gathering place for leaders from around the globe and across many disciplines to present and discuss the ideas and issues that both shape our lives and challenge our times. 

Cindy and her education partner, Candice McFarland-Camacho - director of College and Career Readiness at Gonzales Unified School District, had the opportunity to attended leadership training, panel discussions, and a variety of other events that put them in direct contact with CEO's, politicians, and university professors.
