The Housing Authority of Monterey County (HAMC) is a public agency that provides affordable housing programs for families and individuals. HAMC activity in Gonzales includes management of several rental complexes and development of the 44 unit Fanoe Vista Apartments completed in 2008.

Community Housing Improvement Systems and Planning Association ('CHISPA')

CHISPA is a non- profit housing development organization based in Salinas. CHISPA has built over 1,900 affordable housing units in Monterey County since 1980.
