In response to the national coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the City of Gonzales has declared a local State of Emergency. There are still no cases of coronavirus infection confirmed in our city, nor in Monterey County; this declaration is made to give the city the flexibility it needs to respond to any situation that arises.
