Recreation Programs

After-School Programs (August - June) 

1st through 8th Grades

State Funded Track - The City of Gonzales Recreation Department partners with the Gonzales Unified School District to offer this free program to GUSD students. This program is offered every school day including minimum days from school out until 6:00 pm and includes an after school meal, academic assistance, fitness, clubs, character development, and positive behavior incentives, fun Friday activities, snacks and more. This program is state funded and as such has strict requirements for attendance. Students are required to attend and stay until 6:00 pm. 

Kid Power After School Program (August - June) 

Transitional Kinder - 5th Grade

Parent Funded Track - The City of Gonzales Recreation Department offers a program parallel to the state's program. This program offers care transitional kindergarten and kindergarten. Care for these grade levels are not available on the state funded track. This program is offered every school day including minimum days from school out until 6:00 pm and included an after school meal, academic assistrance, fitness, clubs, character development, positive behavior incentives, fun Friday activities, snacks and more. This program has no requirements for attendance.

School-Year Day Camps

School ear day camps are offered on days when there is no school for children in TK- 8th grades. Day camp is $10 per day per child for single day camps or a weekly fee for multiple day camps. These camps are offered at the Vosti Recreation Center from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. Preregistration is required.

Summer Day Camp (June - August)

2019 Camp Registration is April 27, 2019

The summer day camp program is offered for the 9 weeks of summer. The program is offered Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm for entering transitional kinder through 8th grades. All-day activities include crafts, sumer brifge activities, character development, swimming and more. Every Friday is a field trip.

Youth Soccer League - Ages 2 1/2 to 12 (August - October) 
Youth Flag Football - Ages 6 to 12 (October - December) 
Youth Basketball - Ages 3 to 14 (January - March) 
Girls' Softball - Ages 5 to 14 (March - May) 
Mini TBall - Ages 2 1/2 to 4 (March - May)

Adult Co-Ed Softball (June - August)

Open Gym - Fairview Middle School Gym (November-March)
